And by that I mean, The People’s Republic of Em…
- I bought an iron and an ironing board on Monday night. It took me 27 years. I now own clothes that really need to be ironed to look half-decent. I can’t decide if this is a step up or a step down… it’s definitely sideways
- Yesterday was technically “casual” Friday, and I still dressed up.
- I donated 6 pairs of jeans to the clothes drive, mostly because 6 pairs of dress pants are taking up room now. Sighs.
- Ms Kiki won’t leave my side. Likely due to my being out of the apartment 12 hours a day instead of…. maybe 12 hours a week.
- I’ve told several people that I love my new job. I do. I may feel stupid for saying that later, but whatever.
- There’s already a creepy old guy on my bus route that flirts with me and makes me feel uncomfortable. Thankfully I’m only on this bus for like, 5 minutes. But wtf, it’s only been four days and there’s already a “regular” annoying me.
- I already have a non-office but at work friend – we met on the bus route and it turns out she lives in my building. I asked her where you buy those little clips with the retractable string for security/id cards, and she just gave me hers. It made my day. She says “fuck” a lot too, which I find incredibly endearing as she’s older than my parents.
- I think I now have all the security arrangements made to navigate the path from my office to the bus stop everyday. It’s astounding, I have personal codes and cards and shit… it’s something I find cool about my job now, but it will probably become really fucking annoying soon.
And so it’s not all work-related crap…
- My partner has gone to see AC/DC tonight in Montreal. Jealous.
- I’ve acquired True Blood season 1 and plan to spend at least part of today parked on my ass watching it while knitting. People have told me it’s a good series – is it good?
- Ontario peaches are now in stores / farmers markets / my gastrointestinal system – Go get some! They’re one of the best parts of summer.
I love this song and can identify with the situation…
This woman is brilliant.
and this situation… thankfully my parents stopped taking photos during my “gothic” period*…

rae – at the end, copy the URL link. Then in FB, in the status box on the home page where you type it up, just paste the link and it'll look it up automatically. Just post it like that.
